When Our Hearts Are Full

A poem by Nigel David Richey, Contributor, Culture of Awareness

What dreams may come when our hearts are full,
What adventures lie in wait for our souls to be bold,
I once heard a tale of a girl lost in snow,
Yet warm as ever she could wistand any cold,
Shimmering with wonder she had the sight to see magic,
Even amongst the sorrow and all things that seemed tragic,
In fact, if you ask her what makes her eyes sparkle with light,
She’d probably reply with
“Being able to make things bright” 🙂 Continue reading When Our Hearts Are Full

Cedella Marley: Imagination and Ego

Positive Vibrations by Cedella Marley, A Nice Time

Release your limitless imagination from the confines of your limited ego. And allow the achievement of whatever you envision. It is your ego that creates doubt. It is your ego that manufactures excuses.

Your ego can hold your imagination back and prevent you from achieving the fulfillment you truly desire. Choose with love and positive intention, to let go of that confining, limiting ego.

One Love…. Cedella

The Witch Hunt for “Alternative” Medicine Practitioners

By Ty Bollinger, Wake Up World

Old wives tales and recipes for remedies from your grandmother is woven into the fabric of most lives. Many of us grew up with parents who attempted a home cure before buying medicine or (heaven forbid) making an appointment with the doctor.

When doctors weren’t available, or affordable, families sought relief in what is now referred to as holistic medicine or “alternative” medicine. Organic Rice Crop Yields Debunk Myth GMOs Are Needed to Feed the World

By Christina Sarich, Underground Reporter

Bihar, India — In India’s poorest state, farmers are setting world-breaking records growing rice and other staple foods, without the help of genetically modified organisms, and none of Monsanto’s billion-dollar herbicides.

With the biotech industry claiming that the world can only be fed with heavily-doused herbicidal crops coming from genetically modified seed, it’s astonishing to see a region responsible for providing food for so many people, churning out some of the biggest yields ever — 22.4 tonnes of rice on one hectare of land, to be exact. 7 Reasons Why We Do Not Need a President

By Gary Z McGee, The Mind Unleashed

“It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.” ~Douglas Adams

No single human being should ever be allowed as much power as the president is given, no matter how competent, worthy, or wise they may be. Power can take down the most robust of characters. It’s a fire that burns unless it is somehow dispersed and expiated.

The irony is that nobody who wants to be president should be president, because they are the ones most likely to become corrupt, if they’re not corrupt already. Lured by power, lured by the need to rule, lured by the need to control, those seeking power are the least fit to wield it. So it most definitely goes.
