4 Ways To Ignite Your Powerful Flow-State Creativity

By Alexa Erickson, Collective Evolution

I think it’s fair to say that we all think creativity is a positive trait to have. Many of us want it, but it can feel hard to unlock when we want it most. We simply don’t know where to start, and science doesn’t exactly know how to train us to be more creative, either. That’s where “flow states” come in.

Flow is defined as an “optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best,” and when we are in flow, “every action, every decision, arises seamlessly from the last.” We become fully present in the moment, so honed in on the task at hand that everything else seems to fade into the background, and our very sense of self ultimately vanishes for a time. Time seems different too, moving either insanely fast or incredibly slow, and our performance excels. Continue reading 4 Ways To Ignite Your Powerful Flow-State Creativity

Untying the Knots that Bind Us

By Steve Beckow, Golden Age of Gaia

This being an exceptionally busy time for me, my mind is active a lot and I get to watch the thoughts that arise.

But even more importantly, I get to watch the impact of the charge we put on those thoughts – the energetic attachments or what Matthew Ward calls “streamers.”

Imagine an energy machine with a hand-pulled lever. Beside it is a set of gradations which represents levels of energetic attachment to the thought.

Mystified is the lowest level of energetic attachment. (1) Continue reading Untying the Knots that Bind Us

Dietary Changes Now Proven to Effectively Treat Major Depression

By Alex Pietrowski, Waking Times

More than 15 million Americans suffer from serious depression, and it is estimated that globally some 350 million people are struggling with the challenging mental disorder. While the causes of depression are varied and largely unidentifiable, since the 1950’s the pharmaceutical industry has been developing a broad range of antidepressants, and it now estimated that 8-10% of the American population is taking some type of antidepressants.

The problems with antidepressants are wide-ranging including addiction, costs, and a host of unfavorable side-effects including emotional numbness and even an increased risk of suicide. While antidepressants may very well help some people cope with the overwhelming effects of depression in the short-term, pharmaceutical treatments do not cure depression. GMO Apples Hit American Stores This Month: How and Why to Avoid Them

By Daisy Luther, Natural Blaze

If a food company invented a new version of a typical food and then packaged it in a box without the ingredients, etc. listed on the packaging, there would be quite the outcry.

So why is it that Okanagan Specialty Fruits is allowed to market a new variety of GMO apples without telling people the reason they’re so “special” is that they are genetically modified? Continue reading GMO Apples Hit American Stores This Month: How and Why to Avoid Them

Truth Will Find It’s Way; A Poem

By Alecu Ursu, The Master Shift
Yesterday I fell under a spell,
Today I can still hear the bell,
Two souls shared the same light,
Two souls shined so bright,
My thoughts are flying out of sight,
Once in awhile life feels right,
There are souls to be bound,
There is happiness to be found,
Truth to be around, silence waiting to sound,
Eyes wide open, so much magic unspoken,
Gifting your smile, worthy of thousands miles,
Hoping one day, truth will find it’s way.
About the Author: Young in age and old in soul.
Alecu was born in the Republic of Moldova in November of 1993. Right at the start of his acquaintance with the life, he received a gift from it, and the gift was: severe sepsis [at the age of 3 months]. Through a miracle, he survived. Doctors who said that he will never be able to stand on his two feet were proved wrong, and so his journey began. A journey which sometimes Alecu can’t find the right name for it.

He entered in one of the best schools of Moldova [ Liceul Teoretic Dante Alighieri ], simultaneously he visited neurology once in 6 months because of the footprints of sepsis. More or less family Ursu handled the life well. Till we received the second gift from life: Lyme disease[in 2009].

Because of Lyme disease, Alecu was forced to end his studies and dreams about future. This tough battle with Lyme that lasts till now keeps him in chains.

In order to fight better with his disease, he moved from the Republic of Moldova to Germany. After a short time, the whole family moved to Germany.

Alecu is passionate about music, reading, and a little bit of technology. He is not the saddest person nor the happiest. He is eager to learn and appreciate the smart minds, hoping that one day he will come closer to them.

Love Is Often The Question And Always The Answer

By Adeana M. Slater, In5D.com

I have felt disappointment and rejection my entire life with lovers, parents, siblings, and friends. I can honestly tell you that I have had no experience as to what “true love” looks or feels like. I can only attest to society’s version of love, and I lived in that for years completely unhappy and unfilled. It was not because of my partner by all means. I was young and never learned how to give love to myself so I was truly unable to receive it from anyone else. All of that stemmed from childhood dysfunctional living and other relationships that I always felt like I desired from afar that never came into fruition. Venus Williams Credits Vegan Diet With Helping Her Combat Auto-Immune Disease

By Amanda Froelich, Activist Post

“I literally couldn’t play tennis anymore,” said Williams. A new diet, however, proved successful in helping her combat a common autoimmune condition.

In 2011, tennis competitor Venus Williams was diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome, a fairly common autoimmune disease. That newly discovered information explained why she was suffering from dry eye and dry mouth, as well as crushing joint pain and fatigue. Though she didn’t want to stop playing the sport, she was forced to withdraw from the 2011 U.S. Open in the second round due to the painful symptoms. The Science Behind Our Heart’s Intelligence and Tips on How to Start Listening

By Danielle Benvenuto, Wake Up World

“Listen to your heart.” How many times have you heard this phrase in the course of your lifetime?

In mine, I have encountered it countless times. It’s advice I have been given, it’s a message I like to share, and despite its timelessness, is a phrase that I find often gets ignored. So why, since the beginning of time, have we been given this instruction? And why do we so easily file these four words of wisdom away as something to eventually consider instead of something to do, or at very least, be actively open and about? Do Psychopaths Run the World?

Nick Parkins, New Dawn, Thanks to The Mind Unleashed

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.” ~John Lennon (1940-1980), English singer and songwriter

Lennon and others externalise the apparent paranoia that wells up inside us. “The world has gone mad!” More often than not we partition this voice off, content to view the world as others prescribe it. But who are these others, and what do they want?

The term psychopath is often criminally misjudged, thanks largely to unhelpful portrayals of sick, twisted and violent psycho-character types in the popular media. This has led, by way of public ignorance, to the common belief that the psychopath has no function, role or place in open society. A swift offload that allows us, the apparent sane majority, to circumvent our worst fears. Continue reading Do Psychopaths Run the World?
