“Buddha was not a Buddhist, Jesus was not a Christian, Muhammad was not a Muslim. They were Teachers who taught love.” (Source)
Religion overcomplicates a simple message: live from the heart. Letting love and compassion guide your thoughts, actions, and intentions is the most authentic way to connect with the Source, as rather than forced conformity with a belief system, it brings about a natural evolution of the self.
The idea that devoting yourself to religion will bring spiritual rewards is an incorrect interpretation of the benefits of heart-centered living. We’re taught we’ll receive God’s gifts by changing who we are and conforming to what the church wants, when in truth, we can receive them by making a subtle yet powerful shift into the heart. Venus is retrograde from March 4th until April 15th. It has been building up since January 30th, when Venus entered what is called the “pre-shadow” period. When a planet goes retrograde, our perspective here on Earth makes it appear to be going backwards in the sky.
Unlike Mercury Retrograde, Venus Retrogrades occur less frequently, every 19 months, but they last about twice as long. Although both retrogrades have some similarities in regards to how they might affect your social life, Venus still presents a much different vibe. “Every transformation demands as it’s precondition the ending of a world, the collapse of an old philosophy of life.” ~Carl Jung
Webster’s Dictionary defines patriot as: “One who loves and defends his or her country.”
But why should we as progressive, evolving creatures, limit ourselves to such a myopic definition? Why not expand the concept into something less xenophobic and more cosmopolitan? Why not transform ourselves into worldly patriots along with an ever-expanding, deeply connected, interdependent world; rather than limit ourselves to stagnant statism with its outdated nationalism and parochial values? It is way easier to be kind than it is to be mad, angry or frustrated. While it might seem normal to react aggressively to those who are being rude and negative, try and respond with kindness.
Not only will you feel better, you will stop hurting others by refusing to participate in the same behavior. Lead by example and be the strong one in life who brings positivity and forgiveness to the world.

Each one of us has an inner child. It is a permanent presence that lives at the core of our being.
Our inner child is instinctual and has an inexplicable knowing about the world around it. It knows its own feelings, and how to express them: it laughs when it is happy, cries when it is sad, and screams when it is angry. Each moment is filled with curiosity, wonder, and a need to play, discover, and create in the world.
Over the years, we force our inner child into hiding, and bury alive a very real part of ourselves that never grows up, and will never go away. We make it to adulthood, with all its sensibilities, its heart-breaking lessons and its ever-increasing demands, but this causes us to repress our inner child, and in doing so we rob ourselves of our natural spontaneity, lose our instinctual trust in our “gut”, and separate ourselves from others so they will never see our inner child’s true feelings and desires.
