You don’t have to be a vegetarian or animal activist to be angry with what’s happening in the meat industry. Corruption and abuse litter an industry that provides food in inhumane ways for the sake of profit.
In this article, we’ll be discussing things I wish weren’t happening and am therefore doing my part to help stop. Some parts of this article might be tough to read, but by sharing this difficult information with you, I hope to help you see why you should care.
Vegetarians and meat eaters can work together to effect much-needed change in the industry if we can learn the facts and commit to this common goal. The cause is important for those who want to protect animals and those who want to ensure meat is produced ethically (and is thus safer for consumption). In a world where electronics seem to drive our entertainment, it’s not uncommon to find numerous electronics and robots all over North American households. From cell phones to computers to smart TVs, they’re everywhere, and a lot of them are collecting very specific data about you, your home, and your personal preferences.

Weather modification is one of the most public secrets of the military industrial complex. Cloud-seeding and atmospheric spraying, for example, are well-documented and backed up historical accounts, and are often discussed in mainstream media. Yet, for some reason, the issue is unbearably difficult for most people to even consider. Perhaps because it sounds so much like something out of a science-fiction movie, or perhaps because the ramifications for our environment and health are so obviously serious.
During the flooding of Houston by Hurricane Harvey, the National Weather Service announced that it had to introduce new colors to their satellite maps in order to more accurately present the magnitude of the downpour, which peaked at a stunning 50 inches. At the same time, many suggested that the storm was man-made in the sense that its intensity was caused by anthropogenic climate change, discounting the possibility of weather modification as a factor. When looking at the world today, one gets the impression of living on a sick planet, with sick world leaders in an ailing democracy. It sometimes seems as if the planet has the flu, and no-one seems able to come up with a workable cure. Few will deny the fact that there is a terrifying lack of wisdom in the world. What happened to the profound knowledge of the great thinkers of the past?
Wisdom and solid cultural knowledge should play a prominent role in politics and society. The world as a whole could incredibly benefit a great deal from wise leaders and expert advisors, each with their own qualities, because if there’s one thing we need in order to judge and act in many living conditions, it’s (life) wisdom. Wisdom is one of the cardinal virtues in Christianity, and one of five forces (and also a paramita*) in Buddhism.
