For thousands of years, medicinal herbs and plants have been used to heal and strengthen the body and mind. So much so, in fact, that researchers and scientists have taken great interest in studying their effects in recent decades. And while this has generally been a positive thing, much of the ancient knowledge regarding the energetic and spiritual effects of these plants has been lost or buried in the process due to the simple fact that it is often difficult or impossible to measure with modern research equipment. Continue reading 3 Spiritually Activating Herbs For Expanding Consciousness and Supercharging Health
For the first time – during just the tiniest dot in history – most people in the Western world can afford to be leisurely. That is to say, hard physical labor isn’t necessarily the way most people are active.
Physical movement is now a conscious choice, not an act of survival. Continue reading Exercise is Punishment in the Collective Unconscious and That’s a Problem
Growing medicinal plants are a great way to ensure garden sustainability and, more notably, have access to natural medicine when you need it most. When I introduced more herbs in my garden, I noticed it had a profound impact on the vegetables and fruits I was growing. It also encouraged beneficial insects and birds to visit my garden and this helped cut down on plants being eaten.
Because of this observation, I changed my focus from solely growing to eat and, instead, worked to create a welcoming growing environment. Not only were my plants healthier, but I had access to natural herbs to use for making extracts and poultices. The following are reasons I feel gardeners should adopt adding medicinal herbs to the garden. Continue reading 7 Reasons Why You Should Have a Medicinal Garden
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Pharmaceuticals may not be the best medicine for patients. Some doctors are now changing the way they treat patients – by taking them grocery shopping.

There is an irrefutable argument in favor of happiness: Happiness and good health go hand-in-hand and scientific studies have been finding that happiness can make our hearts healthier, our immune systems stronger, and our lives longer through enhancements of our cellular structure.
Dr Derek Cox, Director of Public Health at Dumfries and Galloway NHS, suspects that for decades health professionals have been missing a big trick in improving the health of the nation.

Whenever I hear the sarcastic term “first world problems” I cringe inside. The Western world is steeped in pain. All kinds of pain – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. While some things like bacterial infections and vitamin deficiencies were muzzled back in the 20th century, this world has never seen so much chronic pain, chronic immune issues and chronic mystery illness.
Big Pharma – the “legal” drug lords that they are – claim the entire Western world as their territory. This cartel has got the “good stuff” – the stuff that quiets the desperate pain – possibly forever. Their carefully executed algorithms have determined that even if they kill off their customers, they make billions. We don’t have an “opioid epidemic” – as though it’s the fault of patients – no! we have an “addiction and death by pill” epidemic. How these deaths are not considered “assisted but unwillful suicide,” I’ll never know…It’s not just these deaths, but the heroin overdoses that happen when people get turned away from the medical system. How it’s legal to hook someone and remove their free will, I’ll never know either. Continue reading You Have a Morphine-Like Painkiller Growing In Your Backyard
When you think of the heavy metal arsenic, does it make you think of an old Cary Grant movie or a 48 Hours Mystery? Or perhaps more recently – making an unfortunate appearance in gluten-free diets everywhere. That’s because arsenic is in our environment and gets soaked up into rice like a straw as it is grown in flooded fields.
Arsenic can build up in the body – mostly undetected – until late stage poisoning symptoms finally manifest as hair loss, confusion, cancer, renal failure, liver disease, hyperpigmentation, edema, convulsions, vomiting, diarrhea, trouble swallowing, muscle cramps, blood in urine, profuse sweating and saliva, saliva that tastes metallic, and breath that smells like garlic. Continue reading How to Get Arsenic Out of Your Rice
First, let’s set the record straight by saying that sugar in and of itself isn’t evil, per se. It occurs naturally in plenty of foods, including fruits and milk. With that being said, adding excess sugar to your dietary intake simply isn’t necessary. In fact, you’ll notice numerous positive things happen when you decide to quit sugar for life.
Although people living in the Western world have been trained to desire sugary treats, as well as foods that include copious amounts of sugar for flavoring, we certainly don’t need it. If you stop eating anything but naturally occurring sugars, you’ll notice that 5 very distinctive things will happen. Continue reading 5 Things That Happen When You Quit Eating Sugar
