11-year-old Gitanjali Rao had a vision of making water quality easier to detect. Her invention, the Tethys, uses carbon nanotube sensors to detect lead. The device connects to a mobile app to instantly report the water quality information.

11 Year Old Kid Destroys Monsanto In TED Talk!
Last week, millions of people from 250 cities world-wide marched in protest against Monsanto and GMO crops. The event was barely mentioned by corporate media. Activists, bloggers, and social media have taken the fight to Monsanto and other evil corporations such as those run by the Koch brothers, getting information out and even developing a smart phone app that allows people to easily boycott the Koch Brothers and Monsanto.
Birke Baehr is eleven years old, and gave an eye-opening inspirational talk at TED that’s so good, we’re sure that if Monsanto and the Koch brothers could – they would ban it.
The talk is entitled, “What’s Wrong With Our Food System”
