Cedella Marley: Listen To Your Inner Voice

Positive Vibrations by Cedella Marley, A Nice Time

We should strive not to impress others, but rather to top our own previous efforts. Our personal growth is the result of our drive to evolve and change. We should follow our own paths, free from outside influences.

Listen to your inner voice and move forward, refine your objectives to meet your needs, adapting to the ever changing conditions. Your awareness of your own goals will help keep you steady on the path before you.

One Love… Cedella

Writing and the Inner Voice

By Wes Annac, Editor, Openhearted Rebel

Reposted from February 2016.

“You can build great wisdom and genius by spending time each day in grateful communion with your inner voice. What better way of creating a more fulfilling life than by mastering the art of tuning into your most inspired and ingenious self, your inner voice?

“This voice is your guide of all guides to a life of greatness. You cannot attune to this inspiring voice without living a more inspiring life. Genius, creativity, and a silent power emerge from your heart and mind the moment you do.” – Dr. John F. Demartini (source)

I decided to commit to writing because it opens me up to a wellspring of guidance and creativity.

For me, this makes it a powerful form of meditation. It becomes meditation when I open my mind and write from the heart, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it connects me with a higher consciousness. Some call this consciousness God; some call it the higher self; some interpret it as an inner voice.

Reggae legend Bob Marley said in one of his final interviews that everyone has an inner voice ‘talking’ to them and we should listen to it. Writing brings me in sync with this voice, and putting pen to paper gives it free reign to express itself. Continue reading Writing and the Inner Voice

Self Criticism? How to Overcome Your Inner “I’m Not Good Enough” Voice

By Juliet Tang, Wake Up World

“Self criticism is an art not many are qualified to practice.” ~ Joyce Carol Oates

We live in a world where the theme of unworthiness shows up in all areas in life. As kids, we proudly show off our high marks and perfect behaviors knowing they will earn us praises and approval from adults, and as adults, we constantly judge and punish ourselves for our lack of wealth, success, relationships and others’ good opinions of us. In my healing and coaching practice, the most common story that is told over and over is the one of “I’m not good enough.”

That was the story of my life as well, for over 3 decades. Having grown up in an Asian culture in the 80’s where being an overachiever was encouraged, the accepted, even celebrated method to motivate children was to subject them to harsh criticism and belittling (ie. “who do you think you are”, “you are nothing until you prove your worth so you can be something”, etc.) As a result, I not only internalized the disempowering belief that “I am not good enough” but I also made sure it dominated and manifested in every area of my life — without fail. More on Finding Our Creative Purpose

By Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness

It’s no secret that we’re in a time of transition, and some of us have been asking ourselves how we want to contribute to our spiritual revolution.

We’re being led to creative outlets that are intended to enhance the light we give to the conscious community, and as we open up to our higher consciousness and let our creative side flow, we’re given all kinds of opportunities to share our work with the world. The Voice Within: It Doesn’t Matter What You Believe

An intuitive message by Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness

The ‘voice within’ is just that – an inner voice that you can connect with and receive advice, guidance and general assistance from along your developing spiritual path. You can call your inner voice whatever you want, and the most popular label it’s usually given is the ‘higher self’.

It doesn’t matter what you call this voice that constantly assists you, nor does it matter how your refer to the numerous spiritual guides you each have at your disposal, who wait for any opportunity to help you along your difficult but necessary evolution back into the higher states of consciousness you seek to anchor onto earth. Mytria/Mytre: The Inner Voice

Mytria/Mytre: The Inner Voice

Channeled by Dr Suzan Caroll

Beloveds, we, Mytria/Mytre, have returned to continue our story.

We left off with the call of a small inner voice tickling our consciousness. After such a long time of moving, establishing, fighting and leaving we had lost most of our desire for deep inner contemplation that had once been our keynote. Now, with peace and calm entering our lives again, we were returning to our SELF.

But, who was that voice that so many of us were hearing? Was it our Spirit in a more tangible manner, or was it a version of the SELF to whom we were returning? Some of us were too busy with their daily lives to place too much attention on these questions. On the other hand, those of a feminine, introspective expression, such as Mytria, could not ignore the questions or the inner voice. Therefore, Mytria will tell her story, as we were two people then. In fact, we had not even met. Continue reading Mytria/Mytre: The Inner Voice
