Meaningful Music – SOJA: Bring Back Truth

Wes: This song from reggae group SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army) reminds us of something we can all agree with: everyone wants to see truth return to this world. This seems to be the song’s basic message, and I’m sure most of us couldn’t agree more with it. Enjoy!

Meaningful Music – SOJA: I Believe (Feat. Michael Franti and Nahko)

Wes: This song from reggae group SOJA (along with Michael Franti and Nahko) is uplifting and filled with good vibes. Its music video is just as great, and I especially appreciated the quote at the end. Enjoy!

Meaningful Music – SOJA: True Love

Wes: This song from reggae group SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army) is about something I’ve written a lot about: true, unconditional love. It’s something we could all use, and it goes without saying that we should all expand our perception of love. It’s far more than a romantic notion, and humanity has yet to understand its true meaning and potential.

This song perfectly outlines this philosophy. Enjoy!

Music With Meaning – SOJA: Open My Eyes

Wes: This song from reggae group ‘Soldiers of Jah Army’ (or ‘SOJA’ for short) encourages us to be thankful for our blessed existence. Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with this world, we can see that we’re blessed to enjoy such a miraculous existence and appreciate every day and every moment.

As their lead singer, Jacob Hemphill, says in the song, ‘The day I am gone, and the day that I leave, I’ll never regret one minute of life. I’ve learned from the joy, I’ve learned from the tears, I’ve fought through the dark, now I see the light!’ Enjoy!
