If you’ve seen recent headlines from the Independent, CNBC, Russia Today, and more media outlets claiming that NASA just offered a six-figure salary for someone to work for the U.S. government to “defend the Earth from aliens,” you may be a little confused, and for good reason.

The Independent reported: “The full-time role of “planetary protection officer” will involve ensuring that humans in space do not contaminate planets and moons, as well as ensuring that alien matter does not infect Earth.”

Business Insider reported: “They’re also supposed to help prevent any alien microbes from spreading to Earth.”

These articles are referring to a position the U.S. government recently posted, titled Planetary Protection Officer. The NASA position is “concerned with the avoidance of organic-constituent and biological contamination in human and robotic space exploration.” NASA is offering candidates a staggering $124,406 to $187,000 per year to fulfill these duties.

Mainstream media has taken this job posting and severely dramatized it, claiming that one of the job duties would be to “defend Earth from aliens.” Though this could be part of the job behind the scenes, it’s certainly not explicitly stated in the posting, and so for these media outlets to be claiming this is a huge stretch.

Although many of these news outlets explained the job posting in more accurate detail deeper within their articles, their titles were misleading and could be considered “click bait.” Stories like these can actually harm the disclosure movement, as they spread misinformation and create confusion surrounding ET and UFO phenomena. In reality, there’s tons of tangible evidence regarding these topics, but this job title isn’t one of them.

On the U.S. government website, the job description reads as follows:

Planetary protection is concerned with the avoidance of organic-constituent and biological contamination in human and robotic space exploration. NASA maintains policies for planetary protection applicable to all space flight missions that may intentionally or unintentionally carry Earth organisms and organic constituents to the planets or other solar system bodies, and any mission employing spacecraft, which are intended to return to Earth and its biosphere with samples from extraterrestrial targets of exploration.

The position would be for three years, with the opportunity of extending it to five. The position itself was created after the U.S. signed the Outer Space Treaty in 1967, which was designed “to avoid their harmful contamination and also adverse changes in the environment of the Earth resulting from the introduction of extraterrestrial matter,” as the treaty reads.

Is This Proof of Extraterrestrials & the War in Space?

No, despite what you’ve read on other news outlets, the fact that NASA announced this job position doesn’t prove that the war in space or extraterrestrials exist; however, there is other evidence of this. Let’s take a look at the militarization of space first.

Some of this evidence came to light thanks to the DNC email leak, as John Podesta, former chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, was in contact with Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the 6th man to walk on the moon. Within those emails, they discussed zero point energy, the war in space, and extraterrestrials.

One of the emails reads:

Dear John,

Because the War in Space race is heating up, I felt you should be aware of several factors as you and I schedule our Skype talk.

Remember, our nonviolent ETI from the contiguous universe are helping us bring zero point energy to Earth. They will not tolerate any forms of military violence on Earth or in space.

The following information in italics was shared with me by my colleague Carol Rosin, who worked closely for several years with Wernher von Braun before his death.

Carol and I have worked on the Treaty on the Prevention of the Placement of Weapons in Outer Space, attached for your convenience.

So, who is his colleague Dr. Carol Rosin? Dr. Rosin is a space and missile defence consultant who’s worked with various corporations, government departments, and intelligence communities throughout her career, and founded the Institute for Security Cooperation in Outer Space. Dr. Rosin also worked closely with Wernher Von Braun shortly before his death, more specifically on the subject of space-based weapons.

In an , Dr. Rosin stated:

What was most interesting to me, was a repetitive sentence that he said to me over and over again. . . . And that was the strategy that was being used to educate the public and decision makers, and the scare tactics, the spin that was being put on the weapons system. And that was how we identify an enemy.

The enemy at first he said, the enemy against whom we’re going to build a space based weapons system . . . First the Russians are going to be considered the enemy . . . then terrorists would be identified and that was soon to follow . . . then we were going to identify third world crazies, we now call them nations of concern. . . . The next enemy was asteroids . . . [and] against asteroids we’re going to build space based weapons.

And the funniest one of all, was against what he called aliens, extraterrestrials, that would be the final card. And over, and over, and over during the four years that I knew him and was giving his speeches for him, he would bring up that last card.

‘And remember Carol, the last card is the alien card. We’re going to have to build space based weapons against aliens,’ and all of it, he said, is a lie.

In other words, their concerns are regarding false flag threats. The term “false flag” refers to the idea that a government would stage an attack or mislead the public regarding an event in order to justify war, the infiltration of a foreign country, or another extreme action (like war in space) for their own personal gain (whether that be for money, oil, power, etc.).

It’s also used to heighten a state of fear and security within their own country, and in order to do so, they need a villain. So, in this case, the concern is that Russia, aliens, etc. will become the fake villains. Dr. Rosin is not the first person of authority to come forward suggesting that false flags could be an issue regarding ETs and space, and I would encourage you to look further into Dr. Steven Greer’s work on the Disclosure Project to learn more about that particular subject.

Another email from Dr. Mitchell addressed to Podesta states:

Dear John,

As 2015 unfolds, I understand you are leaving the Administration in February.

It is urgent that we agree on a date and time to meet to discuss Disclosure and Zero Point Energy, at your earliest available after your departure.

My Catholic colleague Terri Mansfield will be there too, to bring us up to date on the Vatican’s awareness of ETI.

Another colleague is working on a new Space Treaty, citing involvement with Russia and China. However with Russia’s extreme interference in Ukraine, I believe we must pursue another route for peace in space and ZPE on Earth.

I met with President Obama’s Honolulu childhood friend, US Ambassador Pamela Hamamoto on July 4 at the US Mission in Geneva, when I was able to tell her briefly about zero point energy.

I believe we can enlist her as a confidante and resource in our presentation for President Obama.

It seems that the U.S. government has been preparing for this for quite some time, as they recently split their Air Force, which will lead to the creation of the US Space Corps. You can read more about that in our CE article here.

Keep in mind that America is the only nation with a branch of military dedicated to space (as far as we know), and that they already have the United Air Force Space Command.

“This is an issue the subcommittee has studied for months and I can’t even tell you how many meetings with space experts and leaders [Democratic Rep.] Jim [Cooper] and I have had on this subject,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, stated.

According to IFL Science, “The subcommittee believes this move will help the US maintain their strategic advantage in space. But not all members of the committee were equally pleased with this as the mark-up (proposed legislation before it is passed) was only discussed in a couple of meetings.”

So, what’s the reasoning behind the militarization of space? Who knows, but many high ranking officials have speculated that it has something to do with increasing U.S. control on this planet.

I’ll leave you with a few quotes from government officials suggesting that various governments know of extraterrestrial existence.

Mike Gravel, a former Democratic Senator, explained, “Something is monitoring the planet, and they are monitoring it very cautiously, because we are a very warlike planet.”

One of the most revealing testimonies was provided by Paul Hellyer, Canada’s former Defence Minister:

In one of the cases, during the Cold War, 1961, there were about 50 UFOs in formation flying south from Russia across Europe. The Supreme Allied Commander was very concerned and about ready to press the panic button when they turned around and went back over the North Pole. So they decided to do an investigation, and they investigated for three years, and they decided that, with absolute certainty, that four species, four different species, at least, have been visiting this planet for thousands of years. . . . There’s been a lot more activity in the last few decades, since we invented the atomic bomb, and they are very concerned about that, and the fact that we might use it again, because the whole cosmos is a unity and it affects not just us but other people in the cosmos, they’re very much afraid that we might be stupid enough to start using atomic weapons again and this would be very bad for us, and them as well. ()

Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who was previously discussed in this article, said, “Yes there have been crashed craft, and bodies recovered. . . . We are not alone in the universe, they have been coming here for a long time. . . . I happen to be privileged enough to be in on the fact that we have been visited on this planet, and the UFO phenomenon is real.” (source)()(

Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, former Chief of Defence Staff, 5 Star Admiral of the Royal Navy, and Chairman of the NATO military committee, :

There are objects in our atmosphere which are technically miles in advance of anything we can deploy, that we have no means of stopping them coming here … [and] that there is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for many years by people from outer space, from other civilizations. That it behooves us, in case some of these people in the future or now should turn hostile, to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation and not the subject of ‘rubishing’ by tabloid newspapers.
