Love: Our New Way of Life

By Wes Annac

No matter our religion, culture, skin color or anything else we allow to divide us, love can bring us together. We’re capable of unity, but it requires us to embrace love, compassion and mutual respect. It’s easier said than done, but it’s not impossible.

Instead of letting our differences divide us, let’s learn to love each other for the things we have in common. Even if we have to step outside of our comfort zone to humor someone about their culture or beliefs, we don’t have to agree with them to respect them. We’re supposed to have different beliefs, because it’s what makes us unique. We can celebrate it as an essential aspect of the oneness we all share, but only when people are willing to see past their prejudice and find common ground.

Love, Compassion and Unity

Love, compassion and unity are the answers to the world’s problems. Compassion and unity are by-products of love, and when we have love, we have them (and plenty more qualities) in abundance. More importantly, we’re willing to bring them to the surface. This not only allows us to creatively flow, but to uplift others in the process. What more could we want?

We can have all of this and more if we open up to love, and in my opinion, the world as a whole will have to open up to it before we can make a significant change. It would be great if even half the world loved and respected each other, but the other half would continue to disagree and fight. It wouldn’t be enough, and this makes our mission all the more important.

Religion Doesn’t Have to Divide Us

Religion divides us more than anything else, but there’s nothing wrong with sticking with a certain religion as long as you have love. If it helps you understand the great mystery of life while being a good person, then there’s nothing wrong with it. It becomes destructive when we fight over it, and we have to learn to respect each other’s unique views if we want to come together.

Just because we hear someone out doesn’t mean we embrace their beliefs or their way of life, and even if we disagree with them, we can accept and respect them anyway. It’s simple, but it seems impossible for the world right now. We actually hold ourselves back by assuming it’s impossible, however, and the only reason it hasn’t happened is because enough people haven’t made it happen.

Live From the Heart

This is where we come in, and we have to live from the heart if we want to do this job correctly. Feel free to disagree, and you might see life and spiritual evolution in a totally different way. But heart-centeredness makes all the difference for me, and it not only enhances creativity, but frees me to give as much love to the world as I want.

I couldn’t write without love. I’ve tried before, and it never goes well. In fact, when I struggle to write, it’s usually because I’m not writing from the heart. I’m writing from a place of obligation, and it depletes my inspiration until I remember that love is the key – not just to creativity, but everything.

Love inspires us to live with purpose and achieve great things. It encourages us to greet people with a smile instead of a snarl, and it helps us when we don’t think we can keep on. We only need to bring it up from within for it to improve our life and the lives of everyone we come in contact with, and the day the world can do this will be the day we free ourselves.

Our New Way of Life

Let’s make love our new way of life, and let’s keep in mind that it’s one of few ways into a higher consciousness. Not only that – it can inspire the unity that the world needs. We’ll no longer limit ourselves when we awaken to love, and with an open heart, we’ll live uniquely and encourage others to liberate themselves.

We’ll no longer reject people who think differently, and they too will eventually accept us for who we are. Everyone will be welcomed in a world driven by love, because we’ll know we’re one and we’ll no longer want to fight. We’ll bring an end to the barbaric violence in favor of peace and understanding, and thanks to love and true spiritual awareness, we’ll finally move forward as a species.
