Cannabis is good for the mind, body and spirit. The propaganda routinely aimed at it intends to demonize it and diminish its value, but despite that we’re finally seeing through the lies, we’ve only decoded a fraction of the mystery behind this phenomenal plant.
Now that people are realizing it isn’t the menace it’s made out to be, they’re standing up for it and raising awareness of the ridiculousness of the laws surrounding it and the fact that the laws need to change so we can utilize everything this plant has to give.
People of every generation are doing the research, thinking for themselves and changing their perspective on a plant that’s been demonized for the purpose of profit and the suppression of our right to use what nature has provided.
They’re working hard to raise awareness in hopes of reaching those who are still in the dark about what cannabis can do, and they’re prepared to take criticism because they know it’s inevitable when standing up for something society doesn’t accept.
Cannabis is liberating the minds of people everywhere who used to think it was a dangerous drug but are now realizing that even though it isn’t for everyone, it drastically improves the quality of life for many people who use it.
No matter what ails them, cannabis helps them with their pain and, from a spiritual perspective, introduces them to meditation in the process.
It gives them access to higher states of consciousness wherein the duality with which we’re so fascinated (good and bad, right and wrong, love and hate, etc.) come together to form pure oneness, and this state of being isn’t as easy to maintain with natural meditation.
Many users don’t realize it, but the cannabis high is a form of meditation that has multiple uses. It can be used to induce meditative sensations and visions if you let the mind rest, drift away, perhaps close your eyes and let the spirit reveal itself, or it can be used for creative inspiration.
If used to enhance creativity, it should be kept in mind that nothing, including cannabis, is required to be creative. If you start to rely on it, then it might be best to reconnect with your authentic, effortless creative side.
If you do, you’ll find that it can express itself through you in a flowing, natural way.
While it isn’t required, cannabis can stimulate creativity by opening the mind to a less distorted state of awareness and establishing a clear connection with God, the higher self, a spiritual guide; different people interpret the inner voice in different ways.
I like to think it’s a connection with God, but I can’t say for sure because I don’t know. I do know that it’s incredibly positive, helpful and nourishing, and I’ll continue to try to channel it into these writings.
Cannabis has helped a lot of people discover this peaceful yet vibrant inner space, and an open mind is all that’s required for a simple ‘high’ to become a transformative experience that educates your heart and brings you closer with your soul.
Here, we’ll explore some of the ways cannabis helps the mind, body and spirit. You could write report after report about it and still have more to write, and thanks to the growing awareness of its usefulness, new information is pouring in every day.
There’s so much information out there about a fascinating plant that, in my opinion, is important to the future of humanity, and I look forward to dissecting and discussing it all as it comes out.
According to the website Benefits of Marijuana, cannabis balances out the Autonomic Nervous System, creating a feeling of equilibrium and wellbeing. This alone contributes significantly to health, and if marijuana’s medicinal benefits weren’t enough, we can add psychological wellbeing to the list.
The body tends to alternate between two opposite modes of being, and remarkably, marijuana unites them. This contributes to the feeling of wellbeing, and again, it unites the polar opposites within us and contributes to spiritual wellbeing as well as physical.
Cannabis unifies opposites in the brain and body, but only temporarily, which is why it helps to learn oneness naturally.
By conjoining both sides of the Autonomic Nervous System, cannabis ‘enhances’ both sides of the brain and allows for more (and cleaner) blood to enter. Thus, the mind becomes clearer and creativity is enhanced.
Since it works on both sides of the brain and unites the intellectually sharp left side with the creative, artful right side, it allows for relaxation and meditation or active, inspired creativity depending on the user and their intention. It works differently for everyone, and some might not feel as clearheaded or inspired as others.
Cannabis can energize you, make you alert and even give you strength, and most people don’t understand that with this plant, there is no ‘either/or’. It can relax you and energize you; again, depending on your mindset and a few other factors. I suppose it comes down to what you want to get out of it.
If you want meditation, meditation is what you’ll get. If you want more energy, then you’re likely to get it. Or maybe you’ll receive both.
Here’s something interesting you might not know: Cannabis has been used by exhausted laborers in warm places for centuries because it gives them energy. You might think of caffeine before you’d think of cannabis for energy, but again, since it acts as a stimulant and a depressant, it can be used for either purpose.
Many laborers also use it to stimulate their appetite and produce the feeling of wellbeing you’d probably need if you spent your day working under the hot sun.
This plant can help you whether your work has to do with labor, creativity or anything else, and the fact that marijuana calms the body and unites the brain’s two hemispheres explains its effect on creativity.
Expansion of consciousness is apparently defined as unity between the opposite sides of the brain, which creates balance where there was only duality and one-sidedness. Since activity in both sides is enhanced under the influence of cannabis, the intellect and the spirit are effectively united.
Uniting the opposing forces within us could very well be the first step to spiritual awakening and enlightenment.
Since marijuana only does this for the duration of the high (ignoring for now the long-term psychological and spiritual benefits), it might be best to find a way to make the experience permanent; meditation would likely help.
By producing alpha waves, marijuana can also shift us out of a worried or distressed state and into a calm state, free from our cares and concerns. It seems to have the opposite effect for some people, who get paranoid, anxious and uncomfortable when they use it, but this could have to do with its illegal status and the fear of being caught.
It obviously isn’t for everyone, and I wouldn’t recommend it if it makes you anxious instead of calming you and opening you to your creative side.
The heart even benefits when marijuana is ingested.
It swells through ‘capillary enhancement’, allows for increased oxygen in the blood and can even pump blood more sufficiently. This may be responsible for the increased heart rate experienced by many users, and it turns out that this can actually be helpful for the heart.
Tension fades when the body is able to be calm, which contributes to the euphoric state and the feelings of wellbeing that fascinate so many users.
As the body learns to live in harmony with the plant, the physical senses are even enhanced.
However, there are other ways to experience this sensory enhancement – exercise, meditation, prayer, fasting, etc. I’d encourage any cannabis user to make time for some of these activities, because they too are good for you.
Despite all of its benefits, many of which are still undiscovered, cannabis is not a cure for all of our problems.
For many users, it provides a spiritual vacation; a retreat from mental, emotional, physical and spiritual pain as well as a reminder of how the next stage of existence will feel. This brings us to the next aspect of this discussion: marijuana’s spiritual benefits.
I’ve written about some of them in the past, but Benefits of Marijuana lists many, many more.
As you may know, marijuana has been used throughout history to enhance meditation.
Meditation is perceived by many as the ‘ultimate’ tool for introspection and unity with God. Some would argue that cannabis and stronger psychedelics surpass meditation and were put here to help us expand our consciousness more directly, but the latter is still a great way to connect with the spirit on a shallower level.
Cannabis will help you go deeper when paired with meditation, and even though it isn’t as powerful as psilocybin mushrooms or other natural psychedelics, it’s still transformative.
It connects you with yourself and introduces you to a more vibrant state of awareness in a way that pharmaceutical drugs can’t, because they aren’t meant to help you awaken.
They’re meant to stimulate (and in some cases, intoxicate) the mind while keeping you in line with a dysfunctional society ruled by maniacs in suits, and one of many reasons the establishment is against cannabis is because it’s a highly preferable alternative that has the opposite effect of Big Pharma’s drugs.
It doesn’t just relax you and help you get out of a negative or depressed frame of mind; it liberates you from intellectual and spiritual ignorance. The ‘elite’ don’t want people to be aware or willing to call them out on their lies, which is why they pacify us with chemicals that are a far cry from what nature intends us to use.
Everything most people do is rooted in habits and ways of being forced onto them by society, and these ways are imbedded in their subconscious, subtly ruling their lives. They follow these subconscious guidelines without even realizing their life is being programmed, and religion doesn’t offer the liberation they need.
In fact, religion enforces the programming and, unsurprisingly, most religions discourage cannabis use.
They discourage it because it makes us aware of the conditioning they’re partially responsible for, and the moment we become aware of how our thoughts and actions are being controlled, we can step outside the matrix and live uniquely.
This is exactly what cannabis helps people do.
It opens them up to a temporarily heightened state of awareness and introspection wherein they realize how many of the things they do come from a place of conditioning rather than individuality or freedom of choice, and then, they’re inspired to liberate themselves and spread the word.
They become aware of the power of the subconscious and the fact that it dictates much of their life, and many of them rebel against a society that thrives from their ignorance and mental/spiritual oppression.
Even though society tells us we should love our neighbor, the author at Benefits of Marijuana points out that this seems impossible in a world dominated by big business where everyone fights to get ahead.
We can’t encourage certain values while defying them, and cannabis helps us become aware of the blatant hypocrisy in our society and the need to transform our way of life to reflect values that allow everyone to thrive.
It opens our eyes to the ways in which the system defies these values, and it encourages us to live by our own morals while spreading the basic philosophy of loving and respecting everyone.
Since we’ve been conditioned to believe this life is all we get and there are no higher states of spiritual awareness, most people need help waking up and breaking through their programming.
Sometimes, it’s good to have a guru who has experienced enlightenment on some level and can help you become aware that something exists beyond this life. However, since most people don’t have a teacher like this to consult, nature made sure to provide ‘plant teachers’ to show the way into a higher consciousness.
As a plant teacher, cannabis can help you access this higher consciousness in a powerful way that’s usually unattainable in normal waking life, even with the assistance of meditation. Without this state of awareness, you’re left with selfish, unfulfilling material desires.
You start to care more about making money and having expensive things than exploring your authentic spirituality, and this will effectively cut you off from the bliss that comes with an open mind and a transformative spiritual experience sought after by many.
Cannabis reveals the wastefulness and uselessness of material desires by breaking through the mind’s conditioning, all while encouraging meditation, creativity and other things that connect us with the spirit.
This plant poses an array of other benefits I’d recommend researching, and the more knowledge you help spread, the more people you can inspire to open their mind and reconsider their stance on cannabis. Who knows; you might even inspire them to explore their consciousness.
If you’re open to cannabis but you have doubts, I’d recommend learning everything you can about it. If you do, however, be warned that there’s a lot to learn. I’ve hardly scratched the surface in any of these reports, and all it takes is some research to find more information than you may ever need.
The truth is out there, but we won’t find it until we look.
I hope this report has helped you see the cannabis plant in a new light, because it has a lot to offer a society that’s throwing itself into chaos. I’m confident that cannabis can save mankind, but only if we realize what it has to offer now and utilize it.
