By Luke Miller, Truth Theory

“I eat ice cream every night, it makes me happy.”

Richard Overton is America’s oldest veteran born in 1906 he was 109 in the making off this film but has since celebrated 2 more birthdays. The supercentenarian lived through the Great Depression, served in World War II and has been witness to many technological advances over the decades.

He smokes cigars every day, eats ice cream every night and loves to drink whiskey. He says in this film- “If it’s your time to go, that bullets gonna get ya, if it ain’t your time that bullets going over your head.” Maybe it’s the carefree attitude that has kept him so young for so long!

Unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse healthwise for Richard Overton. You can help Mr. Overton stay in his Austin, TX home by donating to his home medical care expenses HERE.
